Program
Get Involved as a Program or Office Support
Volunteer
Program volunteers have direct contact
with Y members and people in the community. They help
the YMCA deliver programs and services. As a YMCA program
volunteer, you can lead an exercise class, read to a
preschool class, coach a basketball team, cook for a
bake sale, design a program brochure, greet people at
the front desk, and/or serve as a role model for young
people. We invite you to get involved as a mentor, tutor,
coach or instructor and have a lasting impact on individuals
in your service area. No matter how you help, you'll
make a big difference as you work with others to create
a feeling of connectedness in your community.
We also welcome young people to serve in
all of the above capacities as long as, like adults,
they have the proper skills, training and supervision.
Besides program volunteers, we also have
opportunities for individuals wishing to give of their
time and talents through office support. Whether it’s
working on a computer or helping label envelopes, your
skills are welcomed and appreciated at the Y.
