Special Fundraising Events
Each year, four major events help raise funds
for the Strong Kids Annual Support Campaign so that
children and families of all economic circumstances
may take part in our programs and services. This is
very important part of our mission
at the South Shore YMCA.
A Taste of the South Shore
In March, we offer the very popular food
tasting event called A Taste of the South Shore.
More than 20 restaurants across the South Shore area
take part in this great night. A special friend of the
YMCA is honored each year at this event. Specific event details can be seen by clicking the event name above.
Trek for Strong Kids
In May, the Trek for Strong Kids
Trek
brings
cyclists together for a fantastic day of biking along
Cape Cod. Riders gather sponsors to help raise funds
for the Strong Kids Campaign. People of all ages participate.
In fact, many families make this event a yearly tradition.
Individuals ages 14 and over choose from a 20-, 30-
or 50-mile ride throughout Cape Cod or a 15 mile car-free ride along the Cape Cod Canal. Younger participants
enjoy a kids’ loop along paved trails within our camp
property. The afternoon celebration includes a barbecue,
swimming, pontoon boat rides, our climbing wall, and

Golf Classic
In July, our Golf Classic attracts
enthusiasts from the South Shore area to Pinehills Golf
Club in Plymouth for a great day with friends and colleagues.
Lunch is provided, and the day concludes with an amazing
dinner and live auction.

Enchanted Evening
In November, the Enchanted Evening
draws hundreds of Y friends to a large live and silent
auction. The night begins with incredible opportunities
for silent bids on fantastic trips, gift baskets, signed
sports memorabilia, artwork, jewelry, and much, much
more. Next, a delicious dinner is followed by a live
auction that is always lots of fun. Details / Registration
